Day 16

I was able to do a blessing today. I sent a card to one of the nurses my son had while we were in the hospital. Even though he had lots of nurses, there was one special nurse that really did her job. I was very thankful to have her watching over my son. Today I wanted to find other ways to bless people so I decided to look online for some ideas and came across a few links that I may contribute to. I was excited to find one of the sites to a lady that was part of my inspiration for wanting to bless someone for 30days. I saw her article in a magazine. Now I see that she has a site dedicated to giving gifts to people for 29 days. I was really excited to see that site and will probably be joining it soon. I want to post some of the links I was able to find on my blog, so when I figure it out they will be posted.

Day 15

I am officially halfway through my 30 days of blessing however I have not been consistant and have skipped multiple days but I guess what counts is that I continue doing good deeds. Although it may not be a consecutive 30 days it will be 30 days. Maybe even 31. Well on this day it rained and iced quite a bit. After work my windows were iced over and I saw that a co-worker was chizzeling away at her window with an ice scraper so I helped chip away at some of the ice for her. Although I did not do very much but I did do a little chipping and kept her company in the cold while her windows were defrosting. Halfway done.

Day 14 of Blessing

Well this day I was able to donate the Christmas gifts I purchased for toys for tots. I also donated gifts to a family that the hospital has chosen to sponsor for christmas. The family is a single mother with 4 small children. The youngest has down syndrome & the 6 year old has cancer. I know that caring for children is a task in itself but having 2 with a disability can become increasingly trying. The mom does not work because she is always caring for her children. I pray they have a good christmas this year.

Day 13 of Blessing

I find myself sometimes wanting to do more with my mission of blessing someone each day. More in that I want to do something different so I looked online for ideas and have been able to come across of few good ideas. My only thing is I have to actually find the time to follow through with them. But we will see. Today I was able to bless a few people today. However what sticks out in my mind was the one person I was not really able to help. It was a single mother who for unknown reasons was being evicted from her home. So for a few days I have been looking and calling different places to try and get her assistance. I found a few options for her but they were all located in another town so I am unsure if she followed up on them. Her children are young teenagers involved in activities & have close friends here in town and I dont think she wants to tear them away from that. All I can do for now is just pray for her. On a lighter note, what I was able to do was give a thank-you card to someone I feel that takes very good care of my kiddos. Thank you cards are easy and I always mean what I say on them. I also gave my sister a quick and new recipe to try. Those are always a blessing when you have kids and you work full time. I also helped someone obtain some info for paying for college and then I bought some gifts to give to the TOYS FOR TOTS. (Which will be my blessing for tomorrow) My daughter really wants to do some Christmas Cards but I think that will be a blessing for another day.

Day 12

Well day 12 I was kinda prepared for because the night before I made some fudge to hand out to co-workers which they enjoyed. Plus I also did several thank you card that I handed out today. Although I really wanted the snow that dropped last nite to snow us, I went ahead and went to work. VERY EXHAUSTED. Today was a long day.

Day 11

This day was fairly easy. I gave my neighbor some household items since I am in the process of clearing out clutter from my home. It's always nice to give something to someone who can really use it or needs it. I also made a quick & simple fudge to hand out to my coworkers tomorrow. Maybe. And of course I could not even wait for it to cool to sample some. It had marshmallows which kinda makes it irresistable. Once it cools I will be able to cut it into bite size pieces and just eat even more. Yummy! I may have to make another one.
