Day 10 maybe

Well I have not posted in a while. Unfortunately I had my little one diagnosed with pneumoia & we were in the hospital for 5 days. Although I did enjoy the time I was able to spend with just him I did not enjoy being confined to a bed for the first portion of the stay. I am more than certain he didn't enjoy it either. Although the picture I posted of him at the hospital looks as though his stay wasn't too bad. Taking a second look at his picture he actually looks like he is living the life I mean he has all kinds of ladies around him (nurses of course)along with his momma & momma's friend, he has his pillow propped up and he is eating a glazzed donut. I can see where his stay doesn't look half bad. But he had some rough days. Well anyhow while at the hospital or to be more exact while we were in the waiting room at the ER my daughter purchased a water at one of the soda machines only to find a big surprise wrapped around it when it was dispensed. A DOLLAR! How AWESOME WAS THAT!! So we actually paid 15 cents for the water. I know that seems small to some but I thought that was a nice blessing from the guy or gal who stocked up the soda machines because that took a little time. I see that dollar as a blessings coming back to us. Speaking of blessing. I have not been on my ( A )game about blessing others lately since we have been at the hospital. So today I am going to start back up again. Well kinda. I purchased some cards to send out for my blessings. I actually wrote one for someone tonite but it will not be sent out until tomorrow so I am guessing it will be tomorrow's blessing. It was to my daughter's teacher. She is such a blessing to her and in my daughter's eyes that teacher can do no wrong. She has been one of the best teachers my daughter has had and I just let her know how much I appreciate the tiem and attention she gives her.

Faces

Before I headed back home after work I went to drop something off at my mom's house. There I saw my neices and took a couple of picture of them making different kinds of facial expressions. I can't remember if I told them to make a mad or a scary face but this bottom picture makes me laugh because the camera caught my neice making a funny face. I am still laughing. She kinda looks like a grumpy old woman. LOL

Day 9

Well I guess today I did several blessings. Some that I do everyday actually. Help people find resources that can assist them. Most times they seem to be grateful that I was able to help them and that is when I feel like I have been able to bless someone. But I want to do something outside of my everyday job. This challenge I have taken on of blogging about a blessing I do everyday has become a challenge for me because I am extremely exhausted right now. After a long day of work I rearranged some things in my place to make room for my old couch to come out & get ready for a newer one tomorrow. As my LOVING FAMILY helped move out my old couch we also came across several things found between the cushions of my couch. I'm happy we did because we came across something I have been searching for a long time now. MY CAMERA!!!!!! I cant believe it. I have been searching for that thing for months now. It has so many saved memories on it. We found my camera along with several necklaces, lots of change (About 3 dollars worth) and all the stuff I took a picture of & posted on this blog. Well since my couches have been moved out we have nothing to sit on for the evening so today I blessed my favorite people in the world and that is my kiddos. We hung out and watched TV. ON THE FLOOR. My kids just loved that mommy was hanging out with them on the floor. I enjoyed it too. Of course I had to sit on a clean blanket to hang out on the floor. We are watching a movie right now so I better get back to the kiddos.

Day 8

Well today was especially easy because the first thing I did was bless someone. Actually a co-worker. I had some videos that she wanted & and so I decided to bless her with those first thing this morning. I hope she enjoys them. I would also like to bless people that doesn't involve money all the time. Not that I dont enjoy giving that way. It's just a bit expensive so I think I need to be a bit more creative. I hope I have some creativity in me.

Day 7 of Blessing

Today I felt like I was able to bless a few frustrated mothers with sick children by just being a listening ear for them. Although I do that all day, I could tell that these women just needed to talk because that is pretty much all they did. I also was able to bless some people at not even know it at the time. For instance I blessed a cousin with a phone call & blessed a friend with a blog. Day 7 accomplished. Well I put pictures of my kiddos up because when I looked at my Aunt's Blog today, it reminded me of something. It reminded me of the sacrifices many soldiers have made to give us the freedom that we take for granted. Freedom that allows us live and serve God the way we want, to live the life we want,to raise our kids the way we want. As I looked at my children today I thought about the other countries that dictate the amount of children a family is allowed to have. Can you imagine? Having your child torn away from you because you have exceeded the allowed amount. Thankfully, in America you have the privilege to keep all your children. A privilege that is paid for by the sacrifices of others. Sacrifices that many of us take for granted. I am thankful to the soldiers and grateful for my children.

Day 6 of blessing

I felt like I did not do much blessing today. But then I had to stop and think that it is not necessary the size, amount of what I do but that I do something. So today I blessed my neighbor today. She is newly divorced and is starting from scratch so I gave her something to help her get going. I also sent a appreciation letter to someone letting them know how grateful I was for them and their friendship. Mission of blessing accomplished. I put the computer screen up because I feel like I have been stuck to this thing since I started blogging.

Day 5

Since Jacob decided to do dishes today I went ahead and paid some bills and did my 5th day of blessings. The gift giving is not very hard but sometimes just finding the time to do it can be. I decided to send out a few early christmas presents so I did what someone once did for me and paid for a magazine subscription for a family fun magazine. I did it for a couple of families and since they are Family fun, I know the receiver will enjoy them. Oh and today was also the first day that I started to work out during lunch. Actually me and my sister started today. My aunt suggested I do some before and after pictures. I did a few before pictures but not any I want to post.

Diego & Jacob Shopping

One of the things that the kids like to do when we go to Walmart is go straight to the toys aisle . Jacob and Diego are doing some window shopping. Really Diego is just letting me know what he would like for Christmas. He keeps telling me it's Christmas and we dont even have our tree up and all the stores do so he thinks we may miss Christmas. I also forgot to mention Diego got lost in Walmart today. We went to the checkout line & I am not sure where he went but we were looking for him and he was looking for us. Thankfully a walmart clerk found him crying in front of a mirror. We were happy to have him back.

Day 4 of Blessing

Well I really did not know exactly how I was going to bless someone today so I just decided to see where the wind took me and look for opportunities to bless someone. After I went to Walmart to do some grocery shopping I ran to McDonalds to grab so fries for the kiddos. There I found an opportunity to bless someone and paid for the person's ticket behind me at the drive thru. We didn't stay to see their reaction but I bet they were wondering why we did. My daughter asked why I paid for that person's meal and if I even knew that person, which I didn't know them. I then explained what I was doing and she came up with a few good ideas that we could try to do within the next few weeks.

My first Blog

I did it!!! I finally found a name for my blog and started a blog. I initially wanted to start with a name that included the word blessed and came across so many names that were suggested and that I liked only to come across a message that said "this blog address is not available". So after countless tries of names that were unavailable I finally came up with thisblessingisavailable and it was. YES!!!!! Well I guess my whole purpose of starting a blog was inspired from so many areas. From friends, family and from reading blogs but my main reason was because of a desire that was put on my heart and just wanting to record the progress of it. I have come across so many stories, movies, pictures of people that have experienced tragic events or who were in horrible situations. If only there had been someone there to help or intervene in that situation to give it a different outcome and I found myself feeling like i wanted to contribute but didn't know how. As the wheels in my head began to turn I asked myself the question on How could I bless someone or how could I help someone or be a blessing to someone. Months had past and yet I still had not done a thing.Within those months I had come across many articles and stories of just people helping people and blessings others so I thought little things I can do. In the month of October my pastor began a sermon on"Live like you were dying". He focused on that for the entire month. So in that month I began to bless a few people and started . so I thought why not use those same concepts and bless someone for 30 days. Place the focus where God wants and that is on others. So for 30 days I plan on blessing someone, in some way for 30 days and just blog about it. I actually started my 30 days of blessing 2 days ago. So my 1st day I blessed the only person I could think of blessing at that moment and that was my sister. I bought her some lunch. I realize that is something small and not really blessing someone out in the public but I needed to start somewhere. The 2nd day I decided to bless someone that I come encounter with on a daily basis. An employee from outside my work place who for some reason never feels like politeness is necessary. So that day I actually found her being polite and decided to jump on that and send her a note letting her know how much I appreciated her. She did not reply but I hope she was blessed by it. Today was the 3rd day and was the day that I started my blog and really did not have much time to do too much so I decided to make a quick phone call and give a kind word and let someone know how special they were to me. I think finding some way to bless someone everyday may not be as easy as I initially thought but I enjoy blessing others so I may just repeat the same things if I feel like I may be getting blessers block. You know like writers block.
